A 346-apartment complex in Merrylands is slated to be a buzzing food and beverage precinct to revitalise the suburb’s main street, and developers say it will be more appealing to residents priced out of Parramatta and Westmead.
Apartments at Coronation Property’s Mason & Main complex at 249-259 Merrylands Rd which is part of the Merrylands town centre overhaul, will begin selling off the plan from Saturday.
The development, where Red Rooster once stood, comprises high-end retail and a gourmet marketplace, supermarket, and a dining precinct on the ground floor while residents will have a private swimming pool and gym in their building.
Coronation director Aras Labutis said the blue ribbon location, opposite Stockland shopping centre, and close to Parramatta, was being developed in a suburb where the population was forecast to grow by 1.32 per cent each year until 2036 — higher than the rest of the Cumberland local government area.
“Coronation Property is focused on delivering projects in the region that address the lack of supply for high-quality apartment living for workers who have been priced out of Parramatta and Westmead,’’ he said.
He said it would also appeal to current residents.
“The people of Merrylands are very proud of their community and love where they live.
“Mason & Main delivers the option to stay in the community they love and be part of a premium brand-new development.”
